Meeting and Study Rooms

The following meeting rooms are available for public use. Meeting Room Applications and Procedures. To reserve a meeting room, call Library Director or Secretary, 952-4511.

Community Room: Maximum capacity of 50 people
Features: Large Projector Screen, Microphone, Kitchenette

Conference: Maximum capacity of 12 people
Features: Large conference table

Study Rooms: A study room with a capacity of 4 people, and a typing room, are available but may be reserved in advance.

Special Features

• Book Sale Room
  The Friends Book Sale Room is open during regular library hours, featuring hardcover fiction and nonfiction books, children's books, art, videos, DVDs and magazines. Most items are priced at one dollar!

Volunteer Opportunities

Join the Friends of the Dr. King Library! Membership forms and meeting information are available at the library. Friends meet at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month.

The Melbourne Library Board is appointed by the Melbourne City Council. The Board meets at 3:00 pm on the third Tuesday of each month except December. Meetings alternate among the Eau Gallie, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Melbourne Libraries. Contact library for meeting information.
