Bringing The World To You

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Brevard County Libraries offer community access to the Internet in fulfillment of our mission to "fulfill the informational needs of citizens."

In offering Internet access, the library cannot guarantee that information found through the Internet is either accurate, authoritative, or factual. Nor can the library control access points which often change rapidly and unpredictably. The library uses commercial Internet filtering software to restrict access to Web Pages which transmit images or information which is pornographic or illegal.

Parents concerned about their child's use of electronic resources must accept responsibility for determining content and establishing guidelines for their child's use that are consistent with personal and individual family values and boundaries. For more information read "Child Safety on the Information Highway" which was jointly produced by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the interactive Services Association which is available on our home page or through the reference desk at each local library.

If you feel that information you have obtained via the Internet is inaccurate or offensive, we suggest you contact the original producer/distributor of that information.

Provision of the Internet does not constitute an endorsement of the content of that information by the Brevard County Libraries.

If you believe the site you wish to access does not violate our Acceptable Use Statement and is inappropriately blocked, please contact a staff member.
