Three Year Card

Library cards are free to Brevard County residents, and can be obtained by visiting one of the many Brevard County Library locations.

Any of the following are acceptable proof of residency:

Florida driver's license OR vehicle registration with Brevard County address.
Property tax receipt, deed or mortgage.
Lease for a minimum of six (6) months.
Current city directory or telephone listing.
Valid Brevard County voter registration card.
Declaration of domicile & citizenship issued by Brevard County.
Florida Highway Patrol I.D. Card with Brevard County address.
Active duty military or dependent I.D. Card with serviceman's Social Security or service number & permanent home address or local installation address & unit.
Public Assistance eligibility card & copy of application, for address purposes only.

Six (6) Month Non-Renewable Card (Temporary)

New Brevard County residents who do not yet have sufficient local identification to obtain a Resident card may obtain a Temporary card by presenting one of the following to verify their Brevard County address:

Lease for less than six (6) months.
Current telephone bill.
Current utility bill (electric or water).
Checkbook.
Current rent or rent deposit receipt.

Temporary Brevard County residents may obtain a Temporary card by presenting one of the above to verify local address PLUS identification showing a permanent residence.


Juvenile Card

A juvenile (under 18 years of age) whose parent(s) or legal guardian is a resident of Brevard County may register for library privileges. A parent or legal guardian must sign the application and present accepted proof of residency.


One (1) Year Renewable Card (Non-Resident)

A non-resident may obtain Library Privileges for one (1) year for an annual non-refundable fee of $15.00.

College students who do not have a permanent Brevard County address may obtain a one (1) year card with a valid student I.D. and/or college library card.
